Capital Athletic League recap November 19, 2013
Whitney moved up to 166 from 264 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Capital Athletic League. The Wildcats were able to move up by topping Cosumnes Oaks 34-9.
Whitney added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Wolfpack, 34-9. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
The Wildcats' Drew Romo and Kris Corpus led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Romo has thrown for 1,702 yards this season, while Corpus has 25 catches for 417 yards. El Camino's Greg Scott leads the league in rushing yards with 1,017.
Jonnie Hilliard has rushed for 911 yards on 167 carries so far this year.
Antelope fell to Rio Linda 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
