SCISA AA Region II recap Oct. 30, 2012
Hilton Head Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in SCISA AA Region II this week by beating Hilton Head Prep, 38-7. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
The Dolphins' dynamic duo of Charlie Wilmot and Logan Clark proved tough for Hilton Head Christian Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wilmot threw for 182 yards and one touchdown and Clark had 67 yards receiving. Zenon Parker helped Hilton Head Prep's passing attack out by catching six balls for 49 yards.
Darrett Drayton was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 53 yards as Northwood Academy fell to Tommy Lewis' team. Will Lloyd also contributed to the rushing game with 29 yards on the ground.
On the ground, Palmetto Christian Academy's jT Waters has rushed for 1433 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Clark. The Hilton Head Prep star has 41 catches for 775 yards.
Palmetto Christian Academy's Ryan Roe is a mere 78 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Roe has rushed for 922 yards on 125 carries so far this year.
The Eagles made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,747 from 3,942. The advance stemmed from a 38-7 victory over Kevin Wald's team last week.
