Basketball Recap: Sheridan Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mena

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sheridan). They breezed by the Mena Bearcats to the tune of 84-57 on Saturday. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Sheridan's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Mena, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.

Sheridan will venture away from home to challenge Bauxite at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sheridan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Mena, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clarksville at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
