Baseball Recap: Sherwood Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Sherwood had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They put the hurt on the Wheaton Knights with a sharp 13-0 victory. Considering the Warriors have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sherwood let Jacob Bagania and Tyler Seils run wild. Bagania got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs, while Seils went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Seils has posted since back in March. Johnny Hall also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Sherwood's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Wheaton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Sherwood nor Wheaton have any future games scheduled.
