Pembroke Hill lost to Bishop Ward back in April of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Raiders blew past the Cyclones 7-1. Considering the Raiders have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Eli Sitzer made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Sitzer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Sitzer wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nico Chiu, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Beckett Berning also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Pembroke Hill hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive matchups.
