The Happy Cowboys had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 30-22 win over Miami on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for Happy who now have 12 in a row.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Haiden Thompson, who rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 193 yards and a touchdown.
Happy pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Miami, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-1.
Happy is on the road again on Friday and play against Westbrook at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. One thing working in Westbrook's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 games. Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
