Lucas is 10-0 against Loudonville since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lucas Cubs will be home for the holidays to greet the Loudonville Redbirds at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Lucas' favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Loudonville has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Lucas scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 75-48 win over South Central at home. Considering Lucas has won four contests by more than 23 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Lucas' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aidan Culler, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Culler's third in a row with at least ten points. Zach Diehl was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six steals and five assists.
Meanwhile, Loudonville came up short against Central Christian on Saturday and fell 51-44. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Loudonville in their matchups with Central Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
Lucas' victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Loudonville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Everything went Lucas' way against Loudonville in their previous meeting back in January as Lucas made off with a 60-34 win. Does Lucas have another victory up their sleeve, or will Loudonville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
