The Perry Central Commodores will head out on the road to face off against the Northeast Dubois Jeeps at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry Central will be strutting in after a victory while Northeast Dubois will be coming in after a defeat.
Perry Central can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Crawford County by a score of 60-50.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Northeast Dubois, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-47 loss to Barr-Reeve on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Northeast Dubois can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Barr-Reeve is ranked 79th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Drew Schroering, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Goller, who scored 12 points along with two blocks.
Perry Central's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Northeast Dubois, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
Things could have been worse for Perry Central, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-41 loss to Northeast Dubois in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Perry Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
