The Berea-Midpark Titans will be playing at home against the Brookside Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Berea-Midpark has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though North Ridgeville scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Berea-Midpark still came out on top. Berea-Midpark snuck past North Ridgeville with a 63-58 victory. Given Berea-Midpark's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while North Ridgeville is ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Berea-Midpark's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Masyn Zahursky led the charge by scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Dylan (diggy) Maddox, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Wellington typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Brookside proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 41-35 W over the Dukes. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Brookside has scored all year.
Berea-Midpark's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Brookside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
