Zephyrhills is 10-0 against the Royal Knights since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Zephyrhills Bulldogs will face off against the River Ridge Royal Knights at TBD. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
After a string of three wins, Zephyrhills' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Springstead 61-57.
Meanwhile, River Ridge scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cristo Rey Tampa 85-36 at home. The victory was a breath of fresh air for River Ridge as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
River Ridge relied on the efforts of JOHN GOLDEN, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, and Colten Weldon, who scored 18 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Weldon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of THOMAS DELORETO, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Zephyrhills' defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for River Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 5-15.
Zephyrhills didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Royal Knights in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 60-55 victory. Will Zephyrhills repeat their success, or do the Royal Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
