Kathleen is 0-10 against Winter Haven since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Kathleen Red Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Winter Haven Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Kathleen has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 342 points over their last five games.
Kathleen stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat George Jenkins 66-28 on the road. Given Kathleen's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while George Jenkins is ranked 247th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Amaya Shaw continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. She hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Jade Grier was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, even though Oak Ridge scored an imposing 61 points on Tuesday, Winter Haven still came out on top. Winter Haven enjoyed a cozy 76-61 victory over Oak Ridge. The win made it back-to-back wins for Winter Haven.
Kathleen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Winter Haven, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
Kathleen came up short against Winter Haven in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 57-48. Thankfully for Kathleen, Kayla Smith (who scored 37 points along with six steals and five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
