Baseball Recap: Father Ryan Beats Overton for Their Fourth Straight Win

Father Ryan came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Overton Bobcats by a score of 7-2. The Irish have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.

Father Ryan pushed their record up to 8-12 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Overton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Father Ryan will take on Pope John Paul II at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Overton, they will square off against McGavock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
