Basketball Recap: Christian Little Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Central

Westside won the last time they faced Central and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Westside Seminoles put the hurt on the Central Chargers with a sharp 71-45 win. The Seminoles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Westside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Little led the charge by going 9 of 16 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. What's more, Little also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joshua Harden, who posted 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Westside's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.

Westside will host Pike County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westside is facing Pike County at the right time seeing as Pike County is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Southwest's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
