Basketball Recap: Twin Peaks Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Twin Peaks Classical Academy suffered their biggest defeat since March 1, 2024 on Monday. They were outmatched by the Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs and fell 51-12. The contest marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Twin Peaks Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Kaleigh Van Pelt, who posted three points in addition to eight blocks and five rebounds. Van Pelt is becoming a predictor of Twin Peaks Classical Academy's success: when she posts at least five blocks the team is 5-1 (and 1-3 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Zeh, who put up four points.

Addenbrooke Classical Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peyton Trujillo, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, ten boards, and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Trujillo a new career-high. Jubilee Trueman also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-6 win against Poudre Community Academy on the 29th. Addenbrooke Classical Academy has also already played their next match, a 54-31 victory against Golden View Classical Academy on the 29th.
