The Graham-Kapowsin Eagles had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged Eastlake out 27-24. Graham-Kapowsin's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Graham-Kapowsin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jabez Woods, who gained 79 total yards and a touchdown, and also threw for four yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Daveon Superales was another key contributor, rushing for 85 yards.
Graham-Kapowsin pushed their record up to 13-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Eastlake, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.
Graham-Kapowsin will face off against Lake Stevens at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Stevens knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Graham-Kapowsin likes a good challenge. Eastlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
