The Knightstown Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Centerville Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 980 yards in their previous games.
Knightstown came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by Northeastern 61-33. The Panthers have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Knightstown got top-tier performance from Jameson Crawford, who rushed for 221 yards and three scores while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. With that strong performance, Crawford is now averaging an impressive 104.2 rushing yards per game. Knightstown also got help from Brody Willard, who showed off his sure hands for 93 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Centerville took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 63-7 victory over Union City. Considering the Bulldogs have won three contests by more than 55 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Knightstown better keep an eye on Jace Hollendonner. He was instrumental in Centerville's win, throwing for 241 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, while also rushing for 68 yards and one TD on only seven carries. Another back making a difference was Jeremiah Mull, who rushed for 103 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Centerville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Knightstown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Centerville, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Knightstown has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 366.2 total yards per game. However, it's not like Centerville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 366.8 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Knightstown was taken down by Centerville 46-7 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 38-7.
