Braylen Townsend Turns in Season-Best Performance
Sadly, Braylen Townsend posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Bloomington South over Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory on Friday. Townsend rushed for 337 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He is becoming a predictor of Bloomington South's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't).
This season, Townsend has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 13.1 receiving yards per game.

Evan Saevre Turns in Another Game with at Least Five Total Tackles
Columbus North was led to victory by Evan Saevre, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Saevre wasn't messing around, picking up three sacks and making 15 total tackles (8.0 for loss). The matchup was his eighth straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.
The win was the third in a row for Columbus North, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Saevre and Columbus North will take on Terre Haute South Vigo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Dash King Goes Supernova in Bloomington North Defeat
While Dash King delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Bloomington North. King turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 89 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 153 yards and three touchdowns.
The loss snapped Bloomington North's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 6-2 record. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cougars challenges Southport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Prescott Posts Huge Game in 35-34 Victory
The second Columbus North player making an appearance here is Gino Prescott, and for good reason. He rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 119 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If the past is any indication, Prescott could be in store for another big game when he takes on Terre Haute South Vigo on Friday. Prescott rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 65 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Braves duked it out back in October of 2023.

Tyisaac Corbin Has Career Rushing Day
Tyisaac Corbin posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Terre Haute South Vigo's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. Corbin and Terre Haute South Vigo will welcome Columbus North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
