Mandeville has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Slidell Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mandeville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 327 points over their last five matchups.
Mandeville stacked a 15th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They beat Northshore by the very same score they won with last week: 65-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Mandeville has posted since December 23, 2023.
Mandeville found their leader in underclassman Alanna Benoit, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. Benoit hasn't dropped below 15points for ten straight games. Saleigh Berry was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Slidell unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 55-44 to Amite. Slidell has not had much luck with Amite recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Mandeville is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for Slidell, their loss dropped their record down to 15-3.
Mandeville came up short against Slidell in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 57-51. Can Mandeville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
