Meanwhile, Lynbrook beat Wilcox 3-1 on Thursday.
Lynbrook got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 17-25, 25-15, 32-30.
Milpitas' record is now 25-7. As for Lynbrook, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Everything went Milpitas' way against Lynbrook in their previous matchup back in September, as Milpitas made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Milpitas since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
