The Blum Bobcats were the 48-44 winner over the Penelope Wolverines when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Blum fell just short of Penelope by a score of 55-52. Blum has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Jayden Schwarz, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds for Penelope. The contest was Schwarz's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Michael Corson, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds.
Blum's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Penelope, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Blum will face off against Valor Preparatory Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Penelope, they will square off against Frost at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Frost is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
