If Northwestern hoped to take revenge for the 53-37 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Erie First Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Avery Collins, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Collins has scored at least a third of Erie First Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Simon Gonzalez, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Northwestern dropped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Erie First Christian Academy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11.
Northwestern will stay at home for another game and welcome Mercyhurst Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Mercyhurst Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Northwestern in Pennsylvania (Mercyhurst Prep is ranked 344th, while Northwestern is ranked 703rd). As for Erie First Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Iroquois at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
