The Polytechnic Panthers are on the road again on Saturday and plays the Milken Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on February 10th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Polytechnic rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 55-43. The victory was just what Polytechnic needed coming off of a 76-29 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Milken was able to grind out a solid win over Whitney on Wednesday, taking the game 61-50. Given Milken's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Whitney is ranked 658th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Polytechnic's victory bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Milken, they pushed their record up to 18-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Polytechnic beat Milken 56-49 in their previous meeting back in November of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for Polytechnic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
