Make it ten blowout wins for the Samueli Academy Firewolves this season. They really took it to Vista Meridian for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-17 victory at home. The win was nothing new for Samueli Academy as they're now sitting on five straight.
Samueli Academy found their leader in underclassman Aiden Aguirre, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Aguirre pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Zendejas, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Samueli Academy pushed their record up to 17-8 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Vista Meridian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Samueli Academy will take on the Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Chapel will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Vista Meridian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Orange County Christian has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-4 during that stretch of close contests.
