Baseball Game Preview: Bradley Central Bears vs. Ooltewah Owls

Bradley Central is 8-2 against Ooltewah since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Bradley Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Ooltewah at 7:00 p.m. Bradley Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Bradley Central's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Rhea County 12-0. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Tucker Allen, who gave up just four hits to keep Rhea County off the board. Allen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Another player making a difference was Jonathon Alomar, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Ooltewah and Cleveland, and Cleveland kept the tradition alive. Ooltewah came up short against Cleveland on Friday, falling 9-1.

Ooltewah has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6-1 record this season. Bradley Central's win bumped their record up to 7-8-1.
