Currituck County has gone 10-0 against Pasquotank County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Currituck County Knights will head out to face off against the Pasquotank County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Currituck County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.

Currituck County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jamie Dance, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds, and Tristan Peterson, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 18 points and eight boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Dance a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Holden Pickering, who posted four points and six rebounds.
Currituck County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Pasquotank County hadn't done well against Holmes recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Pasquotank County strolled past Holmes with points to spare, taking the game 65-51.
Pasquotank County's win came from a few key players Currituck County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Branden Smith, who went 9 of 12 on his way to 19 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Seymore, who had 15 points and seven rebounds.
Currituck County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Pasquotank County, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Currituck County and Pasquotank County are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Currituck County hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 63.2 points per game. However, it's not like Pasquotank County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 62.8 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Currituck County was able to grind out a solid victory over Pasquotank County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 75-68. Does Currituck County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pasquotank County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
