With a playoff win on the line, Bear Grass Charter rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Edgecombe Warriors a 15-0 shutout. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Bear Grass Charter's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for North Edgecombe, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Coming up, Bear Grass Charter will challenge North Moore on Friday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. North Edgecombe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
