Sikeston lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Dexter, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Bearcats on Monday. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

The win was the third in a row for Sikeston, bringing their record up to 6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Dexter, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4.

Coming up, Sikeston will square off against Marion at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dexter, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Advance on the 21st.
