The Stratford Spartans waltzed into Tuesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet 43-27. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Stratford also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Stratford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leonna Summers led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. The game was Summers' third in a row with at least ten points. Taniya Roberts was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 8 rebounds.
Stratford's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
