Lawrenceburg has gone 6-1 against Oldenburg Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Twisters at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Lawrenceburg sitting on six straight wins and Oldenburg Academy on three.
It was a proper cat-fight when Lawrenceburg faced off against Rushville on Monday. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Lions 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted against the Lions since April 18, 2022.

Dustin Shaw and Brody Price were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Shaw struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Price pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Shaw a new career-high. At bat, Shaw went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Price got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.
Meanwhile, Oldenburg Academy had just enough and edged out Greenwood Christian Academy 5-4 on Tuesday.
Like Lawrenceburg, Oldenburg Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Clay Eckstein. On the mound, he tossed 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Eckstein was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.
Eckstein wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Stenger, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
Lawrenceburg's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Oldenburg Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Lawrenceburg beat Oldenburg Academy 4-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Twisters turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
