Rutherford has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bolles recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rutherford Rams will challenge the Bolles Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Rutherford comes in on four and Bolles on 13.
Rutherford is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 56-46 victory over Newberry.
Rutherford found their leader in sophomore Ka'Nahla Hayes, who went 9-for-13 en route to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Butler, who posted 12 points.
Meanwhile, Bolles made easy work of South Walton on Tuesday and carried off a 65-43 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 22 points or more this season.
Bolles' win came from a few key players Rutherford will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Abby Knauff, who went 9-for-14 to rack up 22 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 40% in the last 12 games she's played. Terrell McCoy was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten boards.
Bolles smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive games.
Bolles' victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.9 points over those games. As for Rutherford, their win bumped their record up to 22-3.
Friday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Rutherford has been crazy accurate this season, having made 73.4% of their shots per game. However, it's not like Bolles struggles in that department as they've drained 48.2% of their field goals this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Rutherford beat Bolles 51-39 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Rutherford repeat their success, or does Bolles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
