Chapman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Ramirez, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Estrella Foothills can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They really took it to Cactus for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-10 victory at home. With Estrella Foothills ahead 52-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Estrella Foothills found their leader in underclassman Chanel Yellowman, who dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 12 assists, and 12 steals. That's the first time this season that Yellowman posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Nemo Sidhu, who scored 21 points along with five steals.
Buckeye has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Estrella Foothills, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with that victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.
Saturday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Buckeye have been dynamite from deep this season, having only made 33.3% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Estrella Foothills struggles in that department as they've nailed 41.6% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
