Evan Thompson was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Nolan Going looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

Lincoln Southwest got a massive performance out of Ty Phillips, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Caison Seymore was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Lincoln Southwest's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-9. As for Creighton Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.
