The Four Corners Coyotes will head out on the road to face off against the Mulberry Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Four Corners focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Four Corners had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 49-40 to Tohopekaliga.
Four Corners' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Karina Cruz, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks, and Danielys Pena Ponce who scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Another player making a difference was Briana Carrion, who scored 4 points.
Meanwhile, Mulberry was fully in charge on November 14th, breezing past Frostproof 58-6 on the road.
Four Corners' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Mulberry, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Four Corners and Mulberry were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in November of 2022, but Four Corners came up empty-handed after a 53-52 defeat. Can Four Corners avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
