The Memorial Chargers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Nathan Hale 74-16 on the road. With that win, Memorial brought their scoring average up to 53.6 points per game.
Leading Memorial to victory were Mataya Hall and Asia Roper . Hall dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Roper dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Roper pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zakhia Germany, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Memorial and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Nathan Hale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
After both having extra time off, Memorial and Sapulpa will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Nathan Hale will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McLain Science & Tech at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
