It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Aliquippa Quips had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Greater Latrobe by a score of 37-29. The victory was just business as usual for Aliquippa, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
Among those leading the charge was Tiqwai Hayes, who rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Mekhi Green got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Aliquippa pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.5 points. As for Greater Latrobe, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Aliquippa will take on Mars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mars is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games. Greater Latrobe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
