Despite the loss, North Salinas still got an impressive performance from David Jauregui, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds. Jauregui scored a full 42.5% of North Salinas' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Shane Taylor, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
This is the second loss in a row for North Salinas and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Pioneer, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
North Salinas' road trip will continue as they head out to face Greenfield at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st. Greenfield is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Pioneer won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Alisal at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Alisal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
