The Community Baptist Christian Kings were the 49-30 winner over Springfield Christian Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Community Baptist Christian took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Community Baptist Christian has scored all season.
Parker Hawes and Kade Hunt certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hawes scored eight points along with five steals and two blocks, while Hunt scored ten points. It was the first time this season that Hawes posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Bierlein, who scored two points along with three steals.
Community Baptist Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Springfield Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
Community Baptist Christian will stay at home for another game and welcome the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. As for Springfield Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Fostoria Baptist Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
