Kennett hasn't had much luck against East recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Blue Demons will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 3:45 p.m. East took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Kennett, who comes in off a win.
Kennett took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Sun Valley with a sharp 7-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Demons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Alexis Laboy
Alexis Laboy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Kennett: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 1-5 otherwise. Laboy was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Christian Scheibe tossed a big game, pitching 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025.
Back at the plate, Tyler Homick was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, East fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Henderson on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 8-5 to the Warriors. It was the first time this season that the Vikings let down their fans at home.
East's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Kennett, their record is now 3-6.
Kennett beat East 9-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Demons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
