Bishop O'Connell is a perfect 8-0 against Episcopal since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Maroon at 4:15 p.m. Bishop O'Connell is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Bishop O'Connell had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Bishop Ireton on Thursday. The Knights put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 victory.
Bishop O'Connell not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Bishop Ireton between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

Bishop O'Connell's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Natalie Hobson, who had seven digs and two aces, and Caroline Semko, who had 11 digs. Semko has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.
They weren't the only good servers: Bishop O'Connell was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 30 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Episcopal lost 3-0 to Georgetown Day on Thursday. The Maroon have struggled against the Mighty Hoppers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-16.
Bishop O'Connell's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Bishop O'Connell took their victory against Episcopal in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
