Field Kindley hadn't done well against Labette County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Field Kindley Golden Tornado secured a 44-39 W over the Labette County Grizzlies. This was a revenge game for the Golden Tornado: when they faced off against the Grizzlies back in January, they had to take a 47-45 loss.

Despite the loss, Labette County still got an impressive performance from Landry Obrien, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Obrien has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Amery Baker, who scored seven points and five steals.

Field Kindley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. Labette County's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4.

Field Kindley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Labette County, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Tonganoxie at 6:00 p.m.
