Football Recap: Robinson Piles Up the Points Against Hillsboro

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Robinson's strategy against Hillsboro on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Rockets blew the Eagles out of the water with a 70-22 final score. The contest marked the Rockets' most dominant win of the season so far.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Robinson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evan Moreno, who rushed for 151 yards and four TDs on only 14 carries. Moreno's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season. Dylan Medlock did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 116 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Robinson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Robinson's record now sits at 4-1. As for Hillsboro, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robinson will take on Lorena at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Hillsboro, after each having a week off, they and Venus will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The Eagles will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
