This season hasn't been kind to The Episcopal Wildcats, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 48-8 loss at the hands of Hazen. Episcopal was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-0.
Despite the loss, Episcopal saw an underclassman step up: Turner Harbour rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Harbour was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards.
Episcopal's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-7. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Hazen, Bearden, and Murfreesboro. As for Hazen, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Episcopal will head out on the road to face off against Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hampton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Hazen, they will be playing at home against Bearden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bearden is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
