The Bangor Rams will square off against the Old Town Coyotes at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bangor 3.3, Old Town 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Bangor is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maine's top teams: Skowhegan, who was ranked 13th at the time (Bangor was ranked eighth). The Rams came out on top against the River Hawks by a score of 5-2 on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won three games in a row.

Emma Tripp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Gabby Goding was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Sophie Lynch was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Old Town earned a 4-1 win over John Bapst Memorial on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Coyotes.
Old Town also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Arabel Milligan gave up only one earned run on two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lindsay Mockler, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Those stolen bases were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Haley Sirois, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Old Town pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 6.9 runs this season. As for Bangor, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
