Football Game Preview: Prosper Eagles vs. Plano Wildcats

Prosper is a perfect 4-0 against Plano since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Prosper is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Prosper is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 72-6 victory over Rock Hill. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-0.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Plano and Plano West meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Wildcats lost 35-14 to the Wolves.

Prosper will have to keep a close watch on Chance Culley and Kam Brown, a pair of players who had a big impact on Plano's prior game. Culley rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns, while Brown rushed for 64 yards on only nine carries. Culley is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Prosper's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Plano, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Prosper against Plano in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 48-14 victory. In that contest, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 31-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
