Softball Recap: Sunray Sets Scoring Season-High Against Booker

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sunray). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Booker Kiowas on Friday, sneaking past 20-19. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Kiowas recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Sunray got a massive performance out of Enya Diaz, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Diaz has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Idali Stone, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Sunray always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Sunray now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Booker, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Sunray didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-12 win against Sanford-Fritch on the 8th. As for Booker, they will challenge Highland Park at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
