Denmark's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 49-35 bruising from Lambert. Denmark was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lambert apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Denmark still got an impressive performance from Hannah Lopez, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Emma Hempker was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Denmark has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Lambert, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
Denmark will head out on the road to face off against Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Milton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Denmark likes a good challenge. As for Lambert, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. West Forsyth and Lambert are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
