The Symmes Valley Vikings lost against the Notre Dame Titans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Symmes Valley fell 48-41 to Notre Dame. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Symmes Valley in their matchups with Notre Dame: they've now lost three in a row.
Symmes Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aydan Taylor, who scored 15 points. Taylor continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Cade, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Symmes Valley were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Symmes Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Notre Dame, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Symmes Valley will head out on the road to face off against Wheelersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame will be home for the holidays to greet Glenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
