The Edison Golden Bears will face off against the Winn Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edison is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
Edison's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Highlands. Considering the Golden Bears have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Luis Garcia Smith made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
In other pitching news, Jayden Beltran looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Tristen Henderson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Julius Ramirez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Meanwhile, Winn narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Southside 4-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mavericks.
Edison's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Winn, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
Edison might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Winn when the teams last played back in May of 2022. Will the Golden Bears have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
