The Lebanon Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-44 victory over Southmont. That's another feather in the cap for Lebanon, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Kaden Lark, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Lark is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jack Ferrell, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Southmont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Mcmasters, who scored ten points. Dawson Mason was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Lebanon pushed their record up to 9-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Southmont, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lebanon will challenge Plainfield at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Plainfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lebanon in Indiana (Plainfield is ranked 38th, while Lebanon is ranked 190th). As for Southmont, they will head out on the road to face off against Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Covington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday.
