Football Game Preview: Clear Lake Warriors vs. Colfax Vikings

Clear Lake is a perfect 3-0 against Colfax since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Clear Lake hasn't scored more than ten points for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Clear Lake is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Boyceville on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 45-0. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, Colfax fell victim to Glenwood City and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Hilltoppers, falling 27-0. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Hilltoppers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Colfax's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Clear Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Clear Lake strolled past Colfax in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 35-18. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
